AUGUST 2025: We enjoyed helping the community volunteering at Sharing Hands Soup kitchen.

JULY 2025: Lora DeVore, LCSW and trauma expert came to do divine work with both staff and residents. Volunteer Linda was introduced and is doing ongoing work with the residents with Breaking NIght. 

JUNE 2025: Thanks to our supporters in the community we were able to put our program director through the Not a Number facilitator training. The Not a Number training is a sex trafficking and explotation prevention curriculum for youth. Staff received training and there is ongoing training with residents. 

JUNE 2025: Freedom Ranch partnered with the Gabriel’s Home to start a community teen group. The group offers a supportive community where teenage girls can form lasting connections and empower one another. Gabriel’s Home equine rescue provides a farm setting where shartred experiences and horse interactions ignite trust, personal growth and profound transformation.

MAY 2025: We were able to visit Moonlite Nursery to pick out tons of perrennials and annuals to add to the Freedom Ranch Property. Thank you Joy and blessed donors for your support. 

9/28/24:This summer we received the Crow Wing Energized grant. This helped us start off our Horticulture Program in a beautiful way! A hug thanks to Joy the Joyful Garden Girl for her on going efforts to help support our youth. She has been apart of The Freedom Ranch from the very start. Saving money for 7 years to contribute to the girls once our doors opened. She dontated an abundance of gardening tools, a 40×40 8ft fence for our garden, a lawn mower, and so much more. Thank you Joy!

10/25/24: The residents were able to enjoy the Haunted Trail and the Northland Arboretum, thanks to our Freedom Ranch community advocate. Thank you Shelly for the work you do. Your continues efforts help our teens be apart of our community enjoying normal teen activites.

10/25/24:We plan to move our classroom to our now finished activity center. For the next week we will be busy cleaning and decorating our new learning space. (any donations regaurding any type of education materials are welcome!)

10/31/25: We will be apart of a local Trunk or Treat event. The residents have been busy designing our theme and outfits. They are so excited to pass out candy to littles!
